No matter what happens in this life, keep your eyes on Jesus. He is the author and finisher of our faith (Heb 12:2).

It’s easy to get distracted by offenses or circumstances going on around us. The most important thing is to keep His name on our minds and on our lips. When things get hard or seem out of hand, the simplest thing to say is “Jesus is Lord over that.”

It is a process of keeping Jesus as the focus; we grow in it a little more each time we do it.

You are God’s child. You are a flower in His garden, and He is tending to you. Don’t look at all the weeds (the offenses, the distractions, the circumstances, that would pull you away from focusing on Him). Look instead to the Master Gardener, keep your eyes on Him and His word, and trust that He will take care of you.

Even when things don’t look promising, remember whose hands you are in.

My Father, who has given [them] to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch [them] out of My Father’s hand  (John 10:29 NKJV).
