In 1 Samuel 30, it talks about David and His men’s families being taken captive, and when the men had wept till they could weep no more, they talked of stoning David. But David Strengthened himself in the Lord.

I think we all know, at one point in our lives or another, what it’s like to weep until we can weep no more. And when we’re done weeping, it’s easy to point fingers, to want to blame someone, to somehow make sense of it all.

But David strengthened himself in the Lord.

This morning I was reading in Psalm 13. I have asked the Lord some of the same questions the Psalmist asks. How long O Lord will this sorrow be here? How long, Lord, How long?

And the end of the Psalm it says, I will sing the Lord’s praise, for He has been good to me ~Psalm 13:6

When I read this scripture I immediately thought of the story about David, and how he strengthened himself in the Lord. And I knew that this is what the Lord wanted me to do today.

To praise Him. To thank Him for all the good he has done for me.

And as I thanked him, for just a few things, the things that we have wept over till we could weep no more, seemed much smaller.

This song came to my mind this morning as I was Praising and Thanking the Lord for what He’s done. Enjoy.
