How many times have we been hurt or upset by what somebody said about us? Especially as children, we were prone to take in what people said; good or bad, sometimes letting it affect us into adulthood.
Only what our Heavenly Father says about us is really true. Compare what you believe about yourself to what He says about you in His word. God the Father says He loves you. He calls you His child and that is what you are (1 John 3:1). Do not accept anything less than what your Heavenly Father says about you.
Look in the mirror and say, “My Heavenly Father loves me. He calls me his child and that is what I am”.
See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him (1 John 3:1 NLT).
