When you look in the mirror, what do you see? Do you see what others have said? Do you see how others have treated you and tried to define you? Or do you see what God says about you?

Others may have tried to make you look bad or make you believe something untrue about yourself. But when you begin to meditate and to believe what God has said about you in His word, it’s like a light falling from heaven, illuminating lies the enemy has told about your identity. You can see yourself clearly, through your Father’s eyes.

Every day, search the scriptures for what He says about you. Then speak it out and keep that in your mind until it becomes a part of you. It could take days, weeks, even months, but don’t let that go, and don’t let the enemy talk you out of who God says you are.

You are a child of the Most High King.   Look in the mirror today, into your own eyes, and speak out what the word of God says about you.

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light (1 Peter 2:9 NIV).
