Have you ever had someone speak words over you that just cut to your heart? Maybe even years later they keep running across your mind. We’re on Day 6 of my Bible study Healing the Father Wound, and we are going to look at some words that were spoken over Jesus, then I am going to give you a prayer to pray for healing from hurtful words spoken against you.
Jesus’ Experience
In Mark 3:21-22 We see a couple of things that Jesus is called.
But when His own people heard about this, they went out to lay hold of Him, for they said, “He is out of His mind.”And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebub,” and, “By the ruler of the demons He casts out demons.” (NKJV)
His Own People
Notice who it was that called Jesus out of His mind.
His own people.
And others said, He was possessed.
He was simply following the direction of the Heavenly Father, and He gets attacked with these ugly words, even by His own people.
Have You Ever Been There?
Have you ever been there? It especially hurts when it’s by your own people, people who are supposed to have your back, but then you realize they don’t.
I have experienced these same things in my own life, even recently.
I want to share with you a prayer to pray for healing from hurtful words.
Prayer
In the name of Jesus, I plead the blood of Jesus over my mind and my heart. I forgive the person or people who spoke those ugly, untrue words over me. In the name of Jesus I renounce any power I gave those words over my life, and any agreement I may have made with them, knowingly or unknowingly. I break the power of those words over me, and renounce the authority of the one who spoke them. Father God, in the name of Jesus I pray that You would pull those words up out of the garden of my heart, and bring healing to my heart, soul, mind and emotions. Show me the truth of what You say about me and help me to believe Your words above anyone else’s words. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, amen.
