You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows Psalm 23:5 (NIV).
I remember sitting in the prayer room at church, distressed at things that were happening in my life.
I got on my knees and put my head down upon the seat of the chair, closing my eyes.
After a few minutes I saw before me a table so long the ends could not be seen. I was sitting in a chair with an empty plate in front of me, waiting. A light shone, and revealed that the table was full of a giant feast. I couldn’t see the end of the feast either, and I was filled with a knowing that the whole table was for me.
I was so touched by this vision I began to cry silent tears.
A few moments later the pastor running the prayer room stood up and began to pray. She prayed about a table being prepared for us in the presence of our enemies.
Have you been waiting for a plate? Your Heavenly Father has a table for you.
How we limit God when we come before Him with simply one empty plate when He has a whole table full of food spread out before us just for the taking.
Thank you, Carolyn, for reminding me of all that God has for me!
God Bless you!
Thank you Avie for your kind words. May God bless you abundantly.
