God the Father chose you (Ephesians 1:4). He knew every wrong you would ever do, every lie you would ever tell, every bad word that would ever come out of your mouth, and still He chose you to be His very own. He picked you out of all the people in the world to be His child (John 1:12).
You do not have to clean yourself up and make yourself good enough for God before you come to Him. He only asks us to believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior and say yes to Him. It is He who calls us out of the muck and washes us clean. Then He holds us up and says, “Look how beautiful my daughter is, look how handsome my son is!”
You are chosen. A jewel in the hand of God. He adores you, He loves you and He calls you His very own.
Who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance (1 Peter 1:2 NIV).
