I have written to you who are young in the faith because you are strong. God’s word lives in your hearts, and you have won your battle with the evil one (1 John 2:14b NLT).
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success (Joshua 1:8 NKJV).
Notice God was telling Joshua to meditate day and night so he would do the word, not just know it. Do not neglect the word, it is your weapon. Take it in slowly, putting it into practice in your daily life.
Thank you Father, that you have already given us the victory. Guide and direct our steps in the way we should go. Help us not to neglect your word, but to meditate on it day and night so that we will be sure to do what it says.
