How to pray using the Ultimate Prayer Guide

There’s really not a wrong way to pray, but if you would like to learn the ultimate prayer guide, stick with me.

While I was reading the Word and making it a daily habit, something that helped me grow is praying what I’d just read back to God.

An Example of How to Pray Psalm 23:6

Let me give you an example.

Suppose I was reading Psalm 23.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Psalm 23:6 KJV

To pray that verse back to God:

Thank you Father God, that surely your goodness and your mercy will follow me all the days of my life. Thank you that you are a good Father and that you have good planned for me on this earth. Thank you that I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. In Jesus’ name, amen.

More Word in Your Heart

Notice that the more Scripture you have in your heart, the more Scripture comes to mind as you pray.

While you grow in your walk with God and knowledge of the Bible, you will have more Scripture in your heart. Then, the more scripture will come to your mind as you pray.

Continue reading your Bible and memorizing scripture. If you need help check out some of my books and Bible Studies.

And as you grow in Christ, praying the Word back to God will become a way of life.

You’ll have the ultimate prayer guide living within your heart.

In His love,

Carolyn
