Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my savior, and my hope is in you all day long (Psalm 25:5).

I am blessed to be able to work with one of the pastors of our church. I get to come and pray with her on a regular basis for the ministry my husband and I help lead. Sometimes she will bring me along to appointments people have made  to receive ministry. She always pulls me into her office beforehand to pray. One thing she prays every single time is, “In and of ourselves we can do nothing. We invite you Holy Spirit to lead and guide us today.”

I have learned much while working with her, but I think the most important thing is, we can do nothing without God.

Holy Spirit, I invite you into my day. In and of myself I can do nothing. Guide my steps. Let me be where you want me to be today. Lead me in what I say. Create in me a pure heart Lord, and let me always follow after you.
