God has given you a promise.
It may be of restoration or of healing. It may be for your children, your spouse, or something completely different.
Yet at times, it may look completely opposite. It can seem as if the world is conspiring to rip your promise right out of your hands, tear it to pieces, and stomp on it.
When it seems as if everything is against you, and things look the opposite of what God has promised, how do you hold onto hope?
Thank God for His Promise
You take the promise God has given you, raise it up as high as you can, and you declare the promise out loud. Declare it to yourself, declare it to the enemy, declare it to God, declare it, declare it, declare it!
Even if you do not see one speck of that promise coming true right now, continue to declare and praise God, thanking Him for the promise He gave you.
And then, do it again.
Surrender Hopelessness
Lift that hopeless feeling up to God with your hands. Turn your hands over and let that discouragement and hopelessness drop right out of your hands. Shake them out if you have to.
And then, ask God to fill you with hope again.
Wait before Him in Silence.
Listen for his still, small voice.
Listen for His comfort.
Watch for the Lord
“Go and look toward the sea,” he said to his servant. So the servant went and looked, and he said, “There is nothing there.” Seven times Elijah said, “Go back.” On the seventh time the servant reported, “There is a cloud as small as a man’s hand rising from the sea.”
1 Kings 18:43-44 Berean Study Bible
Even when there is nothing there, go back again and watch. For the Lord has given you a promise, and if you do not give up, that promise will be fulfilled.
In His Love,
Carolyn
