Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9 NIV).
Don’t quit before you see the victory.
Something God has shown me to do is ask Him for encouragement. This is my prayer when I’ve been waiting to see His hand move. “Lord, I know you’re working in this situation. I trust you and am waiting to see what you will do, but until then, will you encourage me so I won’t grow discouraged in waiting?”
And I can tell you, He has answered every time. Sometimes it’s something little that speaks to my heart in big ways. A rainbow, a word spoken from a friend, a picture, a cloud, a song; one day it was my daughter coming to me and saying the same thing I had just heard in my devotions and prayer time. All of these seemingly small things helped me to see that God hears my prayers and hasn’t forgotten me.
You are not alone. He won’t leave you here. Decide you won’t give up. Lift your face, look to Him, He sees you, He has noticed you, and He has not forgotten you.
