Sometimes, especially when you are already hurting, it can seem as if the world is on a mission to tear you down. And when you’re broken, tired, hurting and angry, it’s so much easier to remember the negative than the positive.
One person says something nice to you, but what’s on your mind is what the one person said or did that made you feel terrible. It comes to your mind and stays there.
Often, we define ourselves by how we’ve been treated, what we’ve done or what we do.
But our heavenly Father has already defined us in His word.
When things come to my mind of what people have said or done, I have to make a quality decision to think on the things that my heavenly Father says about me. I have to remember that it is not people who define me, but my Father in heaven. What He says about me is the truth.
Kings daughter, you are dearly loved and adored by your heavenly Father.
Let this be what you meditate on today.
Love,
Carolyn
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 1 John 3:1 NIV

Carolyn, thank you for the reminder to focus on His Word rather than the words spoken to us by people.
