My husband and I like to read before we go to sleep, but one night the light wouldn’t turn on. The first thing my husband did was look to see if it was plugged in. It wasn’t, and once the light was plugged in it shone brightly in the dark room.

Just as the light would not work without a power source, so we as Christians must remain plugged in to our power source, Jesus. We can stay plugged in by taking time to spend with Him, resting in His presence, receiving His strength, His wisdom,  and His peace.

You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden (Matthew 5:14 NIV).
