Have you ever been rejected or hurt by a parent? Especially when the hurt comes from someone who’s supposed to build us up, it goes deep.
There is a parent that will never reject us, and His plans for us are for good and not evil (Jeremiah 29:11). As long as we listen to and obey this parent, we stay in a place of covering by Him (Psalm 91).
God, our Heavenly Father, will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). In fact, He knows all about those wounds from our earthly parents, and He wants to heal our hearts. He asks that we forgive them, and put them into His hands. He asks that we trust Him, and He’ll even help us with that too.
Each of us has come from a different place, we all have different stories; but our Father knows us all intimately. He knows our hearts, our hurts, our dreams, and our hopes. He knows you.
You are God’s child. He has the best for you. Receive Him as your Father today.
Heavenly Father, help me to see you as my Father and not just my God. Heal those places in my heart that were hurt by my earthly parents. Help me to trust you completely and come into a place of intimate relationship with you. In Jesus name, Amen.
